Taking Marriage to a New Level
Here’s a Couple Taking Marriage
to a New Level (Figuratively and Literally)
Have you ever worried about what happens after the marriage and how to keep romance alive? For one acrobatic couple from Los Angeles, California, they will not have to worry about that for quite some time. They are on a mission to get married 38 different times, in 11 different countries, on 6 different continents (Antarctica is too expensive), over a period of three months (83 days to be exact) and have shared their journey with the world (they even have a trending tag of #WorldWideWedding and have appeared on CNN).

It’s exciting that it’s not just done in one day.” Cheetah and Rhiann became ordained ministers so that they are able to marry one another, wherever their travels take them.

On a honeyfund website, users have the options to purchase plane tickets, accommodations, and activities (such as a safari expedition, camel rides, or hot air balloon excursions) for the couple. Cheetah and Rhiann plan to have a reception in Los Angeles when they return from their whirlwind weddings, inviting all of their friends (both new and old), and family. “Rhiann and I are completely speechless. So moved. So, in awe that this is our world. This is our life. This is our wedding.... this is actually real,” expresses Cheetah Plat, “we owe so much to all of you supporting us. It is more than we could ever hope for.”

While traveling, the couple hopes to share their love for the acrobatic arts and teach as many people as possible. The experience is not just for them, it is also about meeting new people, learning about their cultures, sharing their excitement for life, and teaching acrobatic arts. Many of their wedding photos portray the couple in complex acrobatic poses, set amongst a variety of geographical locations. It would be difficult to not share in their excitement just looking at their photos, as happiness is so utterly apparent in every frame.
