State, even ones that sparkle like diamonds in the sun. There are
plenty of tourists who visit Forks, Washington, in search of sparkly
vampires.
3. Native Americans do not turn into
werewolves. There is, however, a large Native American Reservation
where the Quileute tribe lives on much of the land where Twilight
was filmed.
4. Not everyone in Seattle drinks Starbucks, even though there is a Starbucks on almost every corner in downtown Seattle. Seattle is also the birthplace to Tully’s and Seattle’s Best Coffee, in addition to many less known coffee brewing companies.
5. Not everyone in Seattle has long stringy hair and sings grunge music, even though the 90s would have you believing that.There are occasionally small tornadoes that occur during abnormal weather patterns, with a few that have even damaged buildings.

cripple and isolate the state.

major volcanoes and it is everyone’s guess as to when they will
erupt next. Mount Rainier could take out the city of Tacoma, which
is the second largest city in the state, with large mudslides cause
by the flowing lava and ash.
9. The Washington State Ferries provide scenic rides through the Puget Sound Waterways for a low price, but it is smart to check the WSF website before you head to the dock, as the ferries are often cancelled due to problems with the aging equipment.
10. The Eastern side of Washington State is quite arid, a perfect location for growing grapes, and has become a popular destination for wine connoisseurs from across the nation.
11. Washington State was the second
state in the United States to legalize marijuana and this has
brought more tourism to the area.
12. Surfing is surprisingly a popular
sport in the state, though you will want to invest in a full-body
dry suit, as the ocean remains a frigid temperature year-round.
13. Seattle is
home to the Seahawks, who came close to winning two Superbowls in a
row this last season.
14. Seattle is home to large companies
such as Amazon, Microsoft, Boeing, and Nintendo. It is also home to
a lot of self-proclaimed nerds.
